I read Emily & Austin’s contemporary romance, The Roughest Draft, and fell in love with their writing. I immediately requested an ARC of With and Without You and it did not disappoint. Of course, this one is YA so there are differences, but their way with words is what has won me over as auto-buy authors.

hmm. i really do like the authors of this book. but just not this book.
idk maybe my standards are too high but i just didnt really like this book. the characters were pretty basic, but i guess i dont really see long distance relationships in ya books, so that was pretty cool
theres just something missing, i think. maybe some pizazz would make it a bit more exciting

I really enjoyed this read. It was such a unqiue book and i found to be in vein of my historicals marrige in trouble books. This books is single POV story and normally i struggled with it in books but because siena had a such a compicated self discovary arc, i enjoyed it. It also had elements of previous books i have enjoed like may this time, broken up over a whole year and does use emails and other elments. I really grew to love this couple becaue it had elements that loved from second chance romances and friends to more in a long distance romance. Def one of my favorite reads by this author duo.

With and Without You is another YA contemporary that does tackles an interesting romance narrative that is not rarely seen in YA. However, other than the aforementioned pro, With and Without You is a middle of the road read that is somewhat enjoyable.

And so the Wibbroka cycle begins once again: I start reading and think "eh, this is just okay", the book gets a little slow in the middle so I feel like maybe I actually WON'T like this book, THEN I power through and Emily and Austin were just waiting behind the corner with a baseball bat and hit me in the face with emotions and I end up CRYING because of their book.

THAT IS TO SAYYYY this is probably in the lower middle rating of their books. For sure got frustrated with Siena and Patrick's relationship but HOOWWWWW they make up and get back together... I'm crying again just thinking about it!
