I will say reading this book was heartbreaking. It’s hard because it is absolutely devastating to hear the true nature of what happened in 1948 to Palestinians and what Israel continues to do to them. I can’t recommend this book enough. It is absolutely incredible as to share the Israelis records of what they did to Palestine and its people! I don’t know how anyone could read this book and not come out of it supporting the Palestinians cause. Coming from reading this now in 2024 I feel as though it is necessary to say Israel is still using its same tactics to this day. It’s important to go back and learn this because it sheds light on the true evil of this world which lies in racism against people of color!

One of the best historical works I have ever read - clear, bold, roundly supported. Strong and kind.

Footnoting was nice to see. But it seemed he was just reciting, instead of doing an analysis or informative piece.
