The greatest achievement of this comic is it somehow wrings serious pathos out of a character that is a talking bird.
(the full review is full of spoilers and needs editing. so yall can make do with this)

"Ah, it's not easy to give a person a heart"

"Teach me what it is to be alive. I wanna be alive"

- well this is a depressing start

- getting Frankenstein, Edward Scissorhands and Stranger Things vibes

- it's all one big messed up and manipulative experiment

- I feel so bad for Winter, left alone for thousands of years, he's so smol, innocent and naive, he doesn't know he's surrounded by horrible people who abused him for science. He's like a lost child.

- so many of the characters are unlikeable

- I love how the artist portrays Adora's vision through her sense of smell!

- Winter's innocence is very twisted because he doesn't understand. Poor Adora!

- I REALLY don't like this thing with Zoe and Adora at all. Uncomfortable! Make it stop!

- okay but Winter and the baby? Bless him 🥺

- as much as I don't really like Jane, I related to her as a writer, just finding yourself lost/out of reach of your goal, picking at scraps to start anything and then someone's just yelling they got published like it was the easiest thing

- the good brother and the evil brother... I'm getting more interested now

- Winter, Roy and Zoe are all very complex

- aww man that dream sequence was lovely

- I don't care how nice Zoe is to Adora, I don't like any of it and I don't like him

- it's sad what happened to Winter and Robby, this Master was mad and cruel

- Adora is absolutely lovely, I just hate that she's with Zoe

- Winter looking out for Jane was cute

- not sure on this Webtoon, wonder if I will enjoy season 2 more?
