Honestly the book is cute. I see why so many people like it as it’s sweet and simple, but it’s definitely to its detriment in this case. It just felt like the book had so many points it wanted to make, and so much world building it wanted to do, that it ultimately fell short. Nearing the end, it felt like everything was just sort of solved by one convenience after the other. The characters didn’t have to work for anything because the perfect answer would just sort of fall into their lap. It all felt very rushed, leaving you feeling kind of confused by the end. I understand it’s more of a romance than a fantasy, but it definitely wasn’t my cup of tea.

very fun spooky book! my only complaint is I didn't like the audiobook narrator that much so it kind threw off the vibes for me.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a light hearted, witchy story, perfect for reading around October time. I found the characters loveable and the story was just the right level of predictable. The perfect cosy read.

I’ve read a few witch rom-coms and this one was by far the best. For 300 pages, I thought the pacing was excellent. This was just a really solid book all around. I didn’t know this was a series but I am for sure adding the next two books to my “to read” list.
