With the exception of the Angel Blood series, this is my favorite book by Nalini because it feels the most real/most realistic. Some of the others had endings that were wrapped up too quick and too tidy, but this... I just want to hug Noah.

Read the TW it’s not a light book. I will read anything by Nalini Singh, she doesn’t  deal with heavy topics in a superficial manner, but they remain Romance novel appropriate. I love this slightly tortured story. They’re sweet and grow together. It’s very uplifting despite the trauma covered.

Thanks to the author for a copy to read and review via netgalley.

There are some books that really make me wish the characters were real so that you can deliver a hard bitch slap to the male main character. Half way through I really wanted that. Kit was so sweet, and Noah was just a major douche. Who prides them self so much that they actually hurt the one thing that is good for them. You can only run so far from demons before they catch up to you. Noah has his work cut out for him as he fights to stay with Kit and not turn back into his old self. Nice rock star book! Four stars for entertainment. Can't wait for Abe's story!

4 Stars

I received an e-ARC copy of Rock Hard from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This hit right around a 3 1/2 for me but I like the series so 4 stars.

Kit and Noah were best friends. The kind of Best Friends that leads to sweet romantic bliss. Except that Noah sleeps with other women and threw it in Kit's face on purpose. So now they pretend that they don't love each other but its not working. Kit is trying to move on but can't and as much as Noah thinks that he can't love her he does. They just have to figure out if maybe is worth it.

I liked this book. The writing was good, the storyline felt authentic and the characterization was superb. The way things fell out makes sense. I just missed the romance.

My problem with this book is that I struggled to like Noah. Now don't get me wrong he's great, except in the romance department and that totally tanked it for me because hello romance book. I know that Noah is damaged but he was just so unlikable to Kit that I had a really hard time with it. I also wanted more of an explanation as to why Noah's parents are awful. Cause don't get me wrong they are AWFUL but I wanted a confrontation and a why. I also really wanted Kit to push back a little. She's tough but I wanted to see it a little more.

I also just wanted a little bit more from the end, a chance to see what the romance between Kit and Noah turned in to.

I did adore the other characters, Fox makes me happy. I did wish for Charlie mouse and T-Rex but hopefully next book.

So overall good book. Can't wait for the next one.

I loved it!. This was such a pleasant surprise given I hadn't really been a fan of the first book, and the second novella was nothing to rave about. (haven't read the 3rd in the series)

This is a beautifully told romance that goes so much deeper than 'wham bham' (which is what book 1 relied on in my opinion), there's your HEA. A man dealing with his demons and a woman who see's beyond that, this could have been so cliched but it really wasn't. There' a few aspects, like Noah not kissing yet being a man whore, that played to cliche and the whole stalker thing is really not needed either and its almost an after thought in tying up the loose ends. I'd read a few of the reviews about the focus being the friendship rather than a romance but I couldn't disagree more. The friendship was the romance.

Great story telling.

diving in the light of Holliwood with paps, stalkers and Noah's terrible past, this one is maybe 2nd best to Rock Hard!
