As much as I enjoyed Kane and Ava it was so refreshing to get back to an actual Valleti. I love the forbidden love aspect and how unapologetic Tommy and Tonya are about it. They know it’s wrong but they never regret a moment of it.

Listen it’s hard to be worse than the first book in this series, but this one comes close.

Just nothing here really made sense in terms of how they got together, Tonya’s backstory was really not fleshed out, the conflict made zero sense, and it is so formulaic with the other books that I knew exactly how this would end.

Also, I didn’t like Tommy. He felt super surface-level, as was the whole relationship. I’m not sure why I am now forcing myself to finish this series, except for the fact that the books are so short and I am curious as to how it will all wrap up.

Also the whole cop falling in love with the mafia guy thing just was not working for me, sorry!

I loved this one !!

This Valetti story is one of the best of the series.

Mafia hit man falls in love with a cop. How much more difficult can that situation get.

I love the way that Tonya is portrayed in this one. She is a strong female that can handle herself. But yet Tommy comes into her life and she finds herself falling for his bad boy attitude.

The ending I did see coming. Cause the same thing happened in the previous book of the series that caused their happily ever after.

Overall though, it keeps you hooked with both Tommy and Tonya’s internal turmoil for each other. You can’t stay away from this book any more than Tommy and To ya can stay away from each other.
