I wish we could have gotten the climactic scene without Rain holding the idiot Ball, but it is what it is. Only 3.5 stars even if this is one of my favorite concept  (supernatural investigations) because I can never fully buy into second chance romances. It doesn't feel like things are resolved, even if I know it's a series.

I might have stayed up until 6 am to finish reading P.S. I SPOOK YOU because I loved it so much! I'm a bit obsessed with Rain and Danny and I can't wait to read the rest of this series right away. Paranormal mystery romance is one of my favorite genres and I loved the set up for this one -- a FBI agent who doesn't want to accept that he can see ghosts and the cold case that reunites him with his Detective ex-boyfriend.

Rain's POV was so engaging and I loved his sense of humor and my heart was squeezing every time he believed he'd lost his chance with Danny. Because of their history things are rocky at first and Danny is reluctant to trust Rain again; I felt Rain's broken heart keenly. While we don't get Danny's POV, I still felt like I knew his character really well and I loved his charm and sex appeal. The attraction and chemistry between Danny and Rain jumps off the page and they were so sexy together! Physically they jump back into things quickly but trust takes time and I enjoyed every second of the journey.

Content Warning: Rain is taking anxiety medication because he believes the ghosts he sees are a sign of mental illness; references to domestic abuse of a side character; references to a sibling going missing and never getting answers

Rain and Danny's banter flowed so smoothly; it was absolutely hilarious.

I was living for the second chance angst. I’m prone to getting annoyed but the fact that Rain was more self-aware than expected was great. The mystery aspect of the novel was fun too, the author was skilled at keeping me guessing.
