"If there is one thing I have learned from my time among you, it is this: Love can break the world, and make it into something new."

I am absolutely breathless.

To do fair, I always finish a book with a gentle sort of exhaustion. I feel like a part of me is rewritten every time I read a great book. But this? Never. I have loved every part of this series, every book has just been better and better. I've found myself absolutely in love with The Age of Darkness, and I feel the need to buy every book. I want to spill myself into these books again, to scribble in the empty pages and reread them until the spines are old and weary.

Favorite books are scary, because I fear there will be no end to this review.

I love to love. I was taught to love by some of the best people in my life, and good GOD do I love.

I love like these characters do, love strong enough to break the world and rebuild it as they know it. And thank the goddess they did. No matter what happens, those I love like they love each other is safe. And so I can rest.

I strangely don't feel sad this trilogy is over, because like these characters, I cannot change the past, I cannot read this again for the first time, and I must move on. Read other books, carry this series in my heart because I LOVED it.

Five Stars all around.

4.5 stars??? Five??? Idk. I have SO MANY EMOTIONS!

"they're strong." Anton smiled down at the sprout. It was a soft, tender smile, usually reserved for Jude. "They'll grow."

I absolutely adore all of the characters. Kathy drops little time bombs so casually it really kept me guessing. One of my new all time favorites

WELL

i had issues with some of the characters' archs, though that wasn't anything new, i struggled with it in the previous book, too. i just thought maybe they'd work it out but alas

i'm just glad i stuck it out...?
wouldn't say it was the best ride, but i did enjoy it. even some miscommunication didn't ruin it for me. you might even say, i enjoyed the drama

jude and anton forever hold a place in my heart, i wouldn't be finishing this without them, so there's that

also, the overall message of the book was nicely wrapped up, so kudos for that

wow. i cannot believe its over.
i picked up the first book in this trilogy on a whim and by the mere ease of pool's writing it ended up becoming one of my favorite series of all time. each character was distinct and unique enough that the switching povs never confused me. not only that, but i found myself loving every single one of the protagonists. i'll miss them all dearly. the fact that this was a debut has me incredibly hopeful for future works from this author :)

1st reread: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
