I only read the first part of this book. I didn't really want to continue reading on to the 2nd book included.

I think I'm probably one of the few people who didn't really like this?

I just had a hard time liking the characters, and the tropes were just a bit problematic for me. I usually don't mind tropes or cliches at all, but I don't like how they were executed here. I don't think I'd ever come back to this particular series.

Luckily the author has a ton of other books, so hopefully I find one I'll enjoy!

Holly Smokes, I didn't know what I was in for. it was a rocky ride. I laughed, cried, cursed throughout this book. such a great story. now I know why people are gushing over it. Kat is a great character, she got what it takes. Deamon is just... ugh can't find words. the tears were worth it. I just love it.

I don't usually read a lot of YA Paranormal, but I decided to pick up these two books because I've heard so many good things from Goodread reviewers and Youtube and my own sister who was raving about it.

The writing in the novel isn't the best I've read in YA, but Armentrout still hooked me with the premise of the novel and the characters Katy and Daemon. I must agree with some reviewers when they say that this reminds them of Twilight, because of Edward and Bella. But I give Armentrout more credit because her writing read more natural and she gave her main female character some backbone. The relationship between Daemon and Katy is what kept me reading Obsidian, and towards the end when the whole Alien and DOD started coming into play, I was getting hooked. By the time I started reading Onyx I was loving it.

Yeah so this isn't the best alien YA book that I've read, but it was still addicting and hard to put down. I already brought books 3 and 4 and can't wait to start reading!
