Ça se lit toujours bien mais j'aimerais bien qu'on approffondisse un peu l'histoire et les personnages dans le prochain volume.

This volume is a little bit weaker for me, because it focuses on a completely different aspect and our main character shows up very late. I enjoyed reading it through, it was very action-packed.

ONE HELL OF AN ACTION PLOT, THIS ONE

Felt like just a breeze that came my way. This was so readable, and I swear the thrill I had on the course of this volume! I forgot why I put this one on-hold but I'm pretty determinted to finish all accessible volumes on Kindle Unlimited tonight, or maybe tomorrow, in case I switch to the other 2 novels I'm also currently reading lol. AND THE ACTION SEQUENCE, I SWEAR. IT'S SO SATISFYING. I COULD LITERALLY HEAR THE LOUD BEAT OF MY HEART WITH MY EVERY SWIPE ON THE NEXT PAGE. Anyway, I was gonna drop this one again when I thought we're having a modern-day Yozo and Yoshiko deja vu. I don't want to feel that kind of trauma ever again. THANK GOD WE HAVE INUYASHIKI THOUGH to save us from all the pain we're about to suffer from. Really enjoyed this one!!

Once again we are presented with human cruelty. This time, it's yakuza, with no redeeming qualities at all. Also, were are presented with shallowness and materialism, through a colleague of a girl, who, of course, is the exact opposite and is pretty much a saint. Well, at least the saint girl showed, that you can love and be absolutely happy with an ordinary, nothing-special man. Aren't we all kind of ordinary? I loved that.
Inuyashiki feels helpless against death, or is he really helpless? He's deeply affected by the cruelty and can't fathom, how can someone do such terrible things to another human being. A question, that is still relevant. It seems that we are bombarded by cruelty in news, stories, movies, games, life etc. But I guess, when it touches your environment personally, when you really sympathise, it still affects you on a deep level and you ask the same question.

I felt like volume 3 didn't really include any of the interesting personal complexity of the characters, though I did appreciate the relationship between the kidnapped girl and her boyfriend/husband (though I can't help wondering if this was supposed to be fan service, since the girl was pretty and the guy was a low-level, unattractive but nice guy salary man). I'm sure that this volume would be well-received by those reading the series who are more interested in the action aspect, and who are more a fan of Hiroya Oku's more "realistic" (ugly people with the strength being robots) art style than I am.
