This did not disappoint!!! Absolutely fabulous second book in the shadow walkers series and I’m super excited as the where the story is going, a live the small bits of information Sloane includes, it isn’t too much that I’m bored but just enough to keep me interested and wanting more!

If you don't look at the finer details of the book, its an enjoyable read. I feel like quality of quantity of smutty scenes is important. There are so many smutty scenes, but they feel rushed and not high quality. Also, I dislike that there is so much petty jealousness in this book. First Serafina has a thing for Levi, and then someone challenges both Roman and her because they don't think she is fit enough to be Roman's mate. And then at the vampire castle, it happens again with one of his general's making a comment of the show that he put on. Like gag, I feel like this didn't need to be included. Also, what is with her having a past with one of his other generals? Like she already has her harem, so I felt like it was unnecessary to bring a scene with a past lover that she doesn't even remember be he does. It gives me the ick. Also I feel like there wasn't enough suspense, like everything went their way. Every meeting went perfect, everyone was always agreeing, their was no ambush, no one tried to attack her in this book (excluding the one challenge).

SpoilerAlso I feel like the reveal at the end that Baur was in on it with the bad guys just didn't vibe with me. Like why would he turn on his family and sister? Also, he's only had 6 life cycles which is not a lot compared to some of the others so how did he get involved in all this.

Holy Hell....... this series just keeps getting better and better. This book picks up right after the last one as Remy is saved by Levi the archangel. I love the dynamics in this book. We get to see the interactions and growth between Remy and her men. We also get to see the relationship between Remy and her brothers & Remy and Fallon. This seems to give more depth to the story as we uncover many truths to questions that were left unanswered. Alas, we get to the cliffhanger ending that has you crying for more. Love it!! Can’t wait to see what twists and turns are next!

I love this series! I love how it flicks between Remy’s memories and present day and how it fills the gaps of what is happening in the present.

Each character is very well thought out and it must be so difficult to keep track of the character traits throughout the ages.

As always very steamy and loving! I love each of the characters and I’m enjoying how it’s all coming together.
