I’m not happy but I understand. I honestly didn’t want Suzume to choose either. I think she needed time to heal herself before moving on with Mamura. I’m not upset with who she ended up with because I loved them both, but I think my main issue was with Suzume. She hurt both of them while trying to figure out her feelings when she should’ve only focused on herself and not drag them along. I don’t know, I’m not fully happy but I see the potential in how the story actually went I just don’t think everything was done in a good matter.
Mhmm...

Before I start this review, let me ask you all a question. It’s quite simple and if you have been following my blog you’ll know the answer. Do you remember me reviewing Paradise Kiss by Ai Yazawa? I reviewed it as one of the first mangas back in February 2015. But do you remember me mentioning today’s story? Yes, this is one of the stories where the unbreakable shoujo rule of relationship is broken! The heroine stays with the second choice. But let me start from the beginning.
I remember the story left me with deep imprinting only because of the heroine’s final choice, but the again I was following the story for quite a long time hence a lot of stuff was forgotten. I do not know why, but I had this strange urge to reread it again, so here I am writing the review after rereading the story. To say the truth I enjoyed it, but at the same time, I had this feeling that it lacked something. I read it quite fast, though the story is progressing not that fast. It has all the attributes of a good shoujo manga, but I wanted more passion from it. No matter what you say the relationship between Suzume and Shishio-sensei needed more passion. It was bland, and I never has a second thought when Suzume chose Daiki. He’s the character that goes through the biggest character development, and you just adore what he turns into.
Are you up to see the life of a country bumpkin going to Tokyo, find friends and even love? Enjoy a romance of a high schooler and a teacher, though nothing happens it’s still there! Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

“When the stars fall into darkness I will quietly shine for you. During happy times, during sad times, I will always be there for you. Your hand, your smile, your everything. For as many years to come, I shall watch from the place closest to you. My existence will become you daytime shooting star.”
As expected... my heart is filled with both happiness and sadness, because of an ending that is bittersweet. I always knew it would be this way, but that doesn't lessen my tears. Even with that, I still love and adore this story.

Spoiler
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Mamura and Suzume, they're adorable together, and in some ways he's better for her, but I just can't let go of my love for Satsuki. He is the 'Daytime Shooting Star', and he always will be. It's kind of funny that when I watch the movie (which I watched before reading the manga), by the end I was rooting for Mamura, yet somehow by the end of the manga I was was rooting for Satsuki. I really am hopeless lolol.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
their quiet love <33 low rating tho because i am very dissatisfied with the build-up and how little screentime my endgame got !!! they were cute but it felt very lackluster & made half of the manga seem useless :/// im glad there were bonus pages, they made up for it a little … i guess …. still not enough. the people deserved 70+ full chapters of them being pining awkward little high schoolers in love

Satisfying ending but I wish we would have gotten a brief glimpse into their future.
It's so satisfying to finish a series that even though this finale felt a tad rushed I'm not mad at it.
