When I tallied my scores for each of the stories, it added up exactly to 3/5 and I didn’t think that was fair. There were some blunders, with a low of 2/5, but I think the quality of the 5-star stories matter more. Not every story is gonna be a banger, but I think everyone will find a story that speak to them in this book. The stories are diverse, and not always a about straight-cut love. A lot of the time, love takes a back seat (but is still a main theme). Buy this book IMMEDIATELY. I’m so glad I read it (thank you to my friend who lent me her copy).
Moderate: Alcoholism and Drug use
Minor: Suicide, Medical content, Alcohol, Cancer, Grief, Addiction, and Biphobia

Absurdist sentimentality in short stories that sometimes lends to deeply vulnerable social commentary, but just as often falls flat. A bit of a mixed bag, though none that were actually bad - though, only a few that were actually good.
Moderate: Animal death, Drug use, Death, Addiction, Alcoholism, and Drug abuse

although some of the short stories were better than others, it was a strong book overall and i enjoyed most of them. the writing style is fun and creative, the plots are bizarre and comedic, and the feelings are strong and emotional. a lot of the takeaways are about love and the ways it changes us, but also the way it can bring out more of who we already are.
Moderate: Cursing
Minor: Addiction, Death, Drug abuse, Drug use, Suicide, Cancer, and Sexual content
