Review for A Court of Thorns and Roses Series

What Worked Well
• Plot
• Flow
• Wording
• Breaks Stereotypes (it includes female abusers and both male and female characters being sexually abused and it shows the vulnerability of male characters well)

What Didn't Work Well
• Grammar
• Forced Character Dynamics
• Forced Character Relationships (most characters seemed to couple up which felt too forced and frankly unnecessary; in real life, not everyone has a partner and that's okay)
• Lack of Representation (there is Mor but she was changed to be bisexual/lesbian [not stated clearly] and it didn't fit in well with the whole series)
• Problematic Themes: Toxic Relationships (all romantic relationships are toxic with incidents of drugging people, sexually assaulting them, taking all their free will, etc)
• Characterisation (Feyre seems quite bland in particular)

"To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys." Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered."

I'd heard amazing things about this book but I didn't want to have very high expectations just so it wouldn't let mw down at the end, but oh my god, this book really blew me away. From the plot and the characters, to the friendship and relation of Feyre and Rhys, everything was truly perfect.

I read this book in one sitting, I finished at 5:30am, crying. I never thought I'd be this obsessed with a series and with its characters but now, they own my whole heart.
