Super quick read about teens doing things they shouldn’t. The plot twist at the end was one I didn’t really see coming - I enjoyed it. Overall good book but one I probably won’t think about again.

I really enjoyed this book and it was really not at all what I was expecting, the author does a great job of getting you hooked and makes you wanna keep reading. It messes with your feelings and plays with the whole "there are 2 sides to every story" by showing you the criminals side of the story and also lets you decide whether you root for them or not. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending with our 2 main characters splitting up, I thought they were good together, but I understood why they did. A good book which I would recommend to any thriller fan

Starting to notice a pattern with this authors thrillers-the ending is always a cop out. Because Xavier didn't kill her nor Sash, it was the dead girls best friend who is not even in the book much. And I knew it, pretty easy to guess. I just would have liked it if it was one of the main characters but of course that cant happen in a YA thriller right? Other then the disappointing end, the book just wasn't long enough to develop the relationship and characters enough so didn't really care for them that much.
I loved what it said about bad girls, the pace was fast, the story interesting and I did like it.

Um... so, I'm not really sure what to think of this. I liked listening to a book without a mushy romance... and this was definitely that. It became a little too much toward the end.

This book was entirely not what I was expecting. I had read the summary and saw it had decent reviews, so I decided it was worth the read, not really knowing what it was about. For the first half of the book, I hated it. First of all, because I was unaware that it was a sort of psychological thriller and secondly because it took me forever to get through, because there were some really dark parts where I had to take a break. Had I know that this was a thriller, I feel that I would have enjoyed the first part much more. Not knowing this I was questioning what the whole point of the book was. The genre plays into the intensity of the story, but I could only read a couple chapters before I had to put the book down and read something lighter. Up until halfway through, I was ready to give this a one star rating and warn everyone to stay far away from it.

The only reason I kept reading is because of the writing. I have never read any of Weingarten’s other books, but she filled the pages with such a perfect mix of description and action that I couldn’t give up on this book. As I mentioned before, this book was dark. While I had difficulty getting through those parts, I have to applaud the author for that. If writing is realistic enough that it is difficult to handle, it means the author is doing something right. I really enjoyed the changes in perspective. They allowed the reader to know just enough that they were interested, but their were still secrets that the reader didn’t have access to. I am so glad for the writing, because the end was totally worth powering through the beginning.

I pride myself on being able to predict endings. And I don’t know if it was because I read this book over the span of two months, or because I didn’t realize that there was supposed to be a plot twist, but I NEVER saw the ending coming. After I finished, I went back through the book and was amazed and what I missed. I could have seen it coming if I really tried, but the jaw dropping moment was exceptional. Unlike some thriller-ish things I’ve read, the ending was plausible and entirely planned throughout the entire book. There was a solid conclusion after the twist, that was not rushed. Rushed endings are a pet peeve of mine, so I especially appreciated that. I don’t think I will ever read this again, but I will definitely remember it.

While I enjoyed the story, in the end, I can’t say I loved it. I gave it four stars because it was wonderful writing, and the plot was fantastic, but it was just not my type of book. I would recommend this to readers who like thrillers and can tolerate some deeply dark thoughts and descriptions.
