Woohoo tackled another book off of my TBR!
This was an interesting read. I loved the characters, and although based on actual historical events, the author manages to make the story around the event quite her own.
I do think the story stalled a bit around halfway through the book but all in all a great story, lots of gumption and great dialogue from the female MC and I loved that. I regret not having picked this up earlier before was an entertaining listen part in thanks to Christina Moore's narration as she was able to give each character a different sound and tone.

Reread in 2023 for book club! I really enjoyed this book! I love that it is based on a true historical event!
