Tara K. Shepersky's poems, along with Lucy Bellwood's beautiful illustrations, reconnected me to an essential part of myself that I had lost in recent years--my love of wandering in the forest. Tell the Turning inspired me to start hiking again, and made me take more notice of the natural world around me. Tara's poems are both sensuous and meticulously crafted, and Lucy's illustrations capture the feelings they evoke perfectly. This is my favorite book I've read all year.
