This was an interesting book, and overall I enjoyed it. It does at times feel little inside baseball, and the irreverent tone might not work for everyone, but it worked for me. It would have been interesting if there had been some more deep dives into a few questions, but on the whole, it's an interesting look at how Trump has taken over the Republican party from a former insider.

Equal parts entertaining and enraging. I’ve enjoyed Tim Miller’s writing on the Bulwark and his snarky social media presence. This book is like sitting down with him at a bar and asking him to answer “where did it all go wrong?” I listened to the audiobook and wish he had read the book himself. Overall, a fascinating and infuriating read for this recovering political junkie.
