Aaron delivers, as he has always done. Before the book was released Aaron said that it would go more personal and individual than the previous books, and it certainly does. I wasn't sure this would work with such an immense conflict but glad to report, it does. It works beautifully. Reality shattering battles are viewed from individuals, making them considerably more horrifying, more terrifying, more personal. The story builds and builds, the pacing excellent. I just couldn't stop reading. It roared ahead and pulled me with it! An excellent prologue to now, the final 3 books in this series.

had my attention from beginning to end. cool to see more from the angel, though the parts with Vulkan and Magnus kind of fell flat in my opinion.

Riverting perfection!

It's is 1:45am and I have beenostening to this book for the last 4 hours with minimal breaks because I could not stop.

The writing style, showing events from snippets of people perspectives. Giving background and conclusion in 10 sentences or less.

The heart and character moments for some people that you have known for ages, or others you just met.

I am blown away by just how good this book was.

Now for the end and the death.

I am glad I'm listening to the siege of terra series on audiobook as not sure I would be completing it otherwise. For what I think is the penultimate book in an 8 book series this contained a lot of flashbacks and origin stories for characters rather than progressing the plot. I do feel that the series is being dragged out and though the action towards the end was good fun and did setup the final book it took a long long time to get there!

I will likely complete the series listening to the audiobook as Jonathan Keeble's performance is exceptional as ever.
