Not my favorite book in the series but it does well to introduce the next story.

I know I'll read it again in the future.

I enjoyed the reinventing of Savannah. From victim of a bad cop to successful businesswoman. I did not totally buy into her victimhood for relationships, however, the ups and downs of her relationship rang true. Maybe more of a 3.5, because I am a sucker for a man who bends over backwards to make a relationship work.

Loved this book, and especially the ending. One of the most heartfelt books in the series, it all dealt with trust amd forgiveness in different ways. Savannah is an ex-convict for a crime she didn't commit, and as a result she didn't trust anyone and lived prisioner within the walls of that distrust. This affected friendships and love, kept them from developing. Luke is a great town sheriff, blessed (or cursed) with a meddling group of friends who matchmaked him with Savannah. It was lovely to see the relation flourish and see her grow and learn about trust, friendship that doesn't quit, and a man who doesn't quit either. The scene about Booth 17 was great!

Predictable with some stereotypical characters.
Well, despite some characters being too stereotypical, I did end up liking it. And there was a lot of action in the end. A lot! A shooting. Zack meeting his birth family. And then there was Savannah Moore's own personal demons drama. Loved Zach Turner!!!!!

Zach was a bit too arrogant and alpha for my liking, but I loved Savannah's character arc (and her nephew!) and the rest of the story. I'm really starting to get attached to this town and this series. Off to request the next book from the library! 4.5*

The series is heart warming and this story, while not the strongest, added to the sentiment.
