I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this historical mystery novel. I am glad I haven’t a try. So many different stories in 1 book. I was crying at least 4 times during the book. 

I found the history about the casts, tribes, and armies interesting. I was shocked by some of the side plots. I have no doubt that these types of things took place, I just wasn’t expecting it. 

I look forward to reading the next in the series.
