Defiantly an underrated series, very original, entertaining, and well written but also a nice (or more aptly put, a “seriously scary” and horrifying) light read.
my older brothers read the books when they were first published and I enjoyed them as much as they did, so I think they’ve stood the test of time

Conclusion to, in my opinion, an absolutely amazing series (watch me say this about all three Shan sagas.)

To all the books on the whole I think he is a genius, I couldn't wait to be thrown back into a seemingly confusing world just to see it all fall apart and crawl back together around his twists. The ending was totally unexpected and awesome (in its proper sense), with the chessboard universe and the trio's place in it. I read the end so many times and I don't think I ever really left it once I put the book down. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for some smart fun and gore.

Beranabus and Dervish are gone. Bec has formed an unholy alliance with Lord Loss. Kernel is blind, held on Earth against his will. Grubbs is mad with grief and spinning out of control. The demons are crossing. The Disciples are falling. The Shadow is waiting. Welcome to the end. The tenth and final novel in the chilling Demonata series by Darren Shan. As the final book in the series this one brings everything nicely together. Everything is brought about to a great ending – ending on a surprisingly light tone – with all your questions answered. As well-paced as the other books, filled with as much action and entertainment it is a must read if you have read the rest of the series. Not exactly the ending I'd hope for, but kudos to Darren Shan for being so creative and odd. I’ll miss these characters but luckily the series has great reread value.

I'm finished! The last book in the series. Darren Shan is one talented kid! This was a great series I was able to enjoy with my teen son.
The ending was a huge surprise and I really enjoyed this book.
