The final and, to me at least, the best of the series.

There was a lot of suspense and action, and I liked how rounded all felt: the calling-out to the first book of the series and the recognition of the little breadcrumbs from the previous books... really, really good.

And I finally can say that, for first time, I really liked Cody here. He was particularly good to Summer, and I really liked that subplot, too.

This book has a darker feeling to it, and there were moments in which I was afraid for a lot of the secondary characters, particularly Aunt Amelia, who has become a favourite of mine. But seeing the whole town come together to fight the big evil threatenig them was a thing of beauty. We even have some of the characters from the other books coming to help :)

A really worthy final book.

I fell in love with Demmy & Cody in book one and just can't get enough of them. They are now married and back from their honeymoon from hell!

The story begins with Demmy being chased by a wolf and leads them to suspect a wolfman/werewolf is on the hunt. People are getting bitten and even Demmy's aunt is affected. They get a visit from Cody's niece Summer, who has run away from home.

They are trying to determine who the wolfman is and have a lot of suspects. As the book progresses we see people going missing and many being attacked. Over the course of the case we see people from the series return, like 2 of Cody's brothers and Hal, from the previous book. As soon as they figure out who it is, he sets his sights on Demmy. I really felt for him and he has to do something to protect those he loves.

It was a great end to the series and I'm sad to see them go, but there is a new series of them!

I guess I'm just done with this series. I stalled about halfway through.
