it was okay. I listened to the audiobook at work; it was a good, light read to pass the time. I think younger audiences would enjoy it much more than I did.

Really cute! This book is very nice, but I wasn't a fan of the ending. I feel like some things aren't finished, which makes sense, since it's part of a series. However, there's one detail that really needed to be cleared up in this book, in my opinion, and it isn't. I would have liked the ending much better if it were.

Super cute and sweet book. I thought I figured out a key plot, but I was wrong, which made me so stinking happy! I am now on pins and needles for book two :D

Amber did not inherit any of her mother's witch genes, instead, she is just a matchmaker. But never fear, Amber is not salty over her lot, she loves her job. Like any typical high school teen book, there is a cool BFF, a romantic interest, and a mean girl. Throw in a bit of a mystery and an entire array of supernatural beings (werewolves, witches, shape shifters, vampires, goblins, giants, trolls, sirens, and more) and desserts, and you have The Best Kind of Magic!

Meh. It had little plot and the message was kind of dumb.

Honestly I hadn't ever heard of this book before. But it was available on audible plus. I'm going thru some ppd/ppa so I'm very cautious about new books and authors. I really really loved this one. It was YA enough to be comfortable and safe. But it was catchy & new enough to keep my attention. I'm so pleasantly surprised. I'm grateful that I found this series.

This is 100% a book I would have devoured as a middle/high schooler. There is magic, and the protagonist is sassy and angsty and relatable to 80% of teenagers.

It’s def YA, so I’m not the intended audience, but it was a cute start to the new year.

I thought this so cute magic book. I adored both the characters and the world building were so well done. I loved amber as character and also her struggles with life and her match making powers. I love the cast of magic creatures that we met and how they were represented in the world. I usually am not a fan of the school magic books but this one was done so well. I also loved seeing the various romance matches and the fall out from them in the book. The book kept me reading for all the leads and it was so well done. It did not suffer from any world building issues and Just want to live in this world. I highly rec. this book if you enjoy witch novels.

Super fun. Really enjoyed the variety of paranormal beings featured in this one. I will probably pick up the next book in the series when I'm looking for a light read.
