Pretty decent ending to an altogether very enjoyable series. BUT I still have soooo many questions. I wouldn’t say there are “plot holes” per se, more just like information that could be expounded upon.
I think it’s a wonderful story that was worth telling and Hugh Howey did a great job in doing so. I started watching the TV series as well and I can’t wait for the film iteration of this book.
My favorite characters were most of the supporting ones. I think my favorite aspect of the book was all the found family content.

Brilliant end to the series. It’s going to stick with me for a long time, I’ll be thinking of the characters and imagining what they’re up to.

I contemplated whether I should give this 4.5 or 5 stars but man. That last chapter really cemented it for me. What a fantastic story of isolation and hope. I just really enjoyed this book and series. The setting is so good and interesting, the timeline is never confusing, and the characters are all distinctive. I loved Solo, Anna, Juliette, Elise, and Donald.

Certainly the weakest of the three. The writing felt procedural. Like Characters felt more in service to the plot than in service to themselves. Overall I enjoyed the series and am glad I finished.
the first book was the best, second book took us away from the main story with the characters and created this story of Silo 1. The third book attempted to bring them all together but just felt inevitable. I knew what was coming, the deep dives into why went unanswered. Character would die but then other would just move past it in service of the plot. The religious plot was extremely uncomfortable and hamfisted. There was enough tension without marrying off the youngest child to a creepy priest out of nowhere. It wasn’t a focus of any of the books or a note in any of them so it just felt really bad instead of adding to the narrative.

This is a beautiful and heart-rending conclusion to the trilogy. It gets dark in the middle and I found myself having to slow down and sprinkle in romance novels and other light reads to counterbalance the despair and uncertainty.

I can only say, keep reading. The Silo series characters and the world they live in only grow more compelling in this book.
