It’s written in 3rd person and 1st person, which is never really explained, so it was confusing at first. It also leaned towards being sort of a memoir at the beginning but it was really interesting as the story progressed.

Loved loved loved Aminatou and Ann's storytelling and perspective on enduring, soulmate-like friendship. Should be read by any who aspire to friendship of any kind.

A different and deeper way to look at those cosmically connected friends that we have. I loved this read, and it was one of those books that makes you want to write and reflect yourself.

I ended up listening to this one since the authors have a podcast together and they narrate it. I’m glad I went this route because I tried to read the physical book last year but couldn’t get into it. I liked this one a lot! Especially enjoyed that they talked about the challenges of a biracial friendship.

i loved this book, the ending made me a bit teary-eyed! i listened to this on audiobook (my first one!) and honestly see why their podcast is so popular. i loved the back and forth narration between the two. it made the friendship feel more tangible. there is some helpful information in here as well as a personal retelling of the ebbs and flows of their big friendship.

this makes me want to give a copy to all of my closest friends. i know that our friendships are something we'll have to work on, and i loved that the book touched on both the long distance and interracial aspect. i don't think that's talked about enough, and i think my friendships will be affected by both traits in the near future.

this is a great book both for avid readers and those who want to start reading more books! i'm going to recommend this to my friends. thank you to ann and aminatou for sharing their vulnerabilities with us. :)
