It was a little depressing and too dark for me. I couldn't take to Sydney, she didn't have any outstanding characteristic, except for dancing. Peter was more approachable, but felt a little bland. I think the problem is that I'm too old to enjoy books about young adults who still don't know who they are, nor where they're going.

Actual Rating: 3.75

This was an enjoyable read. I love forbidden love/student-teacher relationship stories. I do have to say that while I enjoyed the book, it was not the best of this genre. I felt like the book lacked something that other books of this genre have done so well to build upon. However, I thought the sexual tension between the main characters was great, and I found it interesting that there were no actual sex scenes in the book. I did enjoy the characters. I also thought the ending was good. I can’t wait to read book 2. Overall, a great read.

This book is quick read that held my interest. I really liked Sydney, her character is witty and less whiny that a lot of NA female characters. I wish there had been a little more build up with their relationship! I will definitely read the next one in the series!

i am really liking the New Adult genre!

I liked this book thought it was interesting and the characters were really great too they did not annoy me too much! First of all, The way the Sidney and Peter met made me laugh the situation was quite funny and this links to one of the reasons I liked this book which was the fact that I could actually laugh at some of the things and situations in the book which the characters themselves found funny. This to a certain extent helped me connect with the characters and the relationship between the two was quite interesting, I thought Peter was good for Sidney and he helped her out and I just thought he was a pretty decent guy.

HOWEVER, Sidney's character started off alright and I liked her and then it got towards the end of the book and she started second guessing everything and just would not stop to listen to what was being said to her which got on my nerves and I wanted to slap or shake her.

Avery and Sean were a nice little addition to the book and I loved them. This book would have received a higher rating if Sidney had not annoyed me but I thought it was worth reading and picked up the second book.

Loved this book but realized I was beginning this series out of order. Went to HM Ward website to find out the order to read these books in so now I am starting off with the Arrangement #1

I just wanted to cry out of frustration and disbelief. That's all I'm willing to discuss.

Five stars for romance and like able characters. However, the underlying theme of this story is old and over used. Even saying that saddens me, because so many women face these issues.
I liked the chemistry between Peter and Sidney. I really hope that their relationship will advance in the next book. Yes I'm going to read the next book.

I'm really conflicted about this book. On the one hand, I typically love the forbidden romance of the Teacher/Student relationship (as long as it is consensual and the younger half isn't being manipulated into thinking it's consensual, if that makes sense), but on the other hand this book just didn't sit right with me. There were a lot of things that troubled me, most importantly, the way that Sidney's family treats her. The second thing that bothered me was the swing dancing. I can't explain why, but it just did. I mean, I understand why it was put there, but I can't help but wonder what made H.M. Ward choose swing dancing of all things.

I also felt that the writing was so-so. There was nothing horrendous about it, but there was nothing spectacular about it either. I can't say with a clear conscience that I'd recommend this book, but it wasn't so horrible that I would feel the need to forcibly stop one of my friends from reading it.

Great quick read. Could have been in one book instead of two. Sweet ending.
