I don't really know what to think of this book, so I'm giving it 3 stars for indecisive. I liked the writing style and the personality of the characters (most of the time). But, for the entire book, I was kind of lost. I couldn't figure out what the main plot line was and I couldn't figure out the characters--their motivations and thought processes. I was most definitely not a fan of the layout of the book: chapters from 2 different characters ranging from 10 years ago to present day, out of order. It was hard to keep everything straight in my head and by the time the end had rolled around, I couldn't really tell what was happening and I was just tired from trying to keep track of so much. I spent most of the book trying to figure out what the heck was even going on--and I was unsuccessful.

It's a short book, so for ambitious people with a bit of time on their hands, I might recommend this book as one that requires some brain power. I, myself, might read it later when I can be much more attentive and once I find a timeline somewhere to keep everything straight.

Mind Games is eerily creepy, mysterious and a little scary. I loved getting to know Fia, Annie and James!

the problem isn't the style, or the characters, but the total lack of plot. nothing frickin' happens. nothing. too many flashbacks that are really useless.

review to come.

I must say that i had really high expectations from this book after reading the paranormal series. While that series is one of my absolute favorites, this novel is one of my most hated. The characters annoyed me to the core as the main character's words always contradicted her actions. Her idea of protecting her loved ones by shunning them out seems completely absurd to me. It is needless to say that I not going to continue the series.

Probably more like 3.5 stars but I felt like rounding up.

This is a super easy, fast-paced read. White managed to keep me engaged with her story telling throughout the book and the ending definitely left me intrigued as to how the rest of this series will flow and develop.

My biggest complaint is I wish that White hadn't put so much focus on the flashbacks. Although some were important I felt they were repetitive to a point and were not completely necessary to show the changes and struggles in the sisters' relationship yet the unchanging devotion. I was far more interested in the present time story line and what was going on there. Also for whatever reason I thought Annie and Fia were twins, so it was definitely interesting to learn that there is a year or so age difference between the two.

Overall I really enjoyed the story. I loved Fia and Adam,
Spoilerand am somewhat disappointed that there probably won't be a romantic relationship between the two. Although I'm not entirely surprised that it seems like Adam and Annie may be the two who do fall into a relationship>
. I have mixed feelings about Annie and James, although the ending definitely improved my opinion of both. The ending was fantastic and a great lead on to the next book. It definitely left me wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

I loved this book! the reason I docked a star is because it's so short and abrupt. it feels like half of the story, not the whole thing. I definitely recommend this!
