Didn’t enjoy this. The lack of speech marks made it difficult and confusing to follow. It was overly descriptive and the casual use of racial slurs was offensive and unnecessary. The character building was the only redeeming factor.

I had to pause for days when reading this book. I’m so glad I read it. I will never forget the people it brought to life and the places they went. It truly transported me.
