The spice is a 5. The plot is abbreviated and it felt fairly predictable. Will I read the next in the series? Yes, for the steamy romance, and because I loved another of her series (Horde Kings of Dakkar) and hope this one may develop similarly.

Idk man; I kind of loved it. Yes, the fmc is not my favorite, but I didn't think she was as much of a pain in the ass as everyone else thought she was. I maybe wished we delved more into their planet/culture than we did - this book is basically just their trip back "home" & then the immediate mating ceremony afterwards: the end. But I did enjoy it so I'll probs read the next one & hopefully there will be more there.

Solid alien romance- just what I needed to get my mind away from an emotional spiral.
This one does end on somewhat of a cliff hanger. (If you're looking for full resolution on the side story). So the second book will finish up Kate and Vaxa's story while setting up the rest of the series.
