Jacob absolutely destroyed my heart. But I loved the ending of this novella and I love his mom.

I can’t wait to know the rest of the Raptors!

Loved it, from the first page to the last page. Such a sweet story, it made me tear up from the love between Ryker and Jacob. Their long-distance relationship, the stress of running the farm and not seeing each other except every few months is getting to them both. When Christmas rolls around and they are going to get together for a little romantic time and then some fun times with friends. The whole novella was such a sweet loving book.

I enjoyed this sweet transition novella. I had been wondering how the Jacob-Ryker living/career situation was going to be resolved. This was nicely done, taking previous character development into consideration so that everyone’s needs were met while still staying true to the characters. I look forward to where it goes from here.

I’m reading them by series instead of chronological order so there are quite a few “spoilers” but they are still enjoyable to read. A universe reading list that crosses over the series would be a great thing to include in the author works section, especially as the authors add on to earlier series while adding new series to the universe.

A sweet little story in the series (which wouldn't really stand alone) - the plight of family farmers infuses this holiday in the woods with a poignancy that gives it more interest and drama. Jacob and Ryker are dealing not only with the stresses of a long-distance relationship, but with the conflicts caused by differences in their bank accounts and their dreams and expectations. The other two couples show up for cameos, adding a bit of fun to the story.

squishy and fluffy and this one got a bit steamy (something loved from Ryker and Jacob's first novel). And oh, some warm felt tears. I really can't get enough of these (have the Raptors' novels already downloaded....)

Good addition to the series and follow up from Jacob and Ryker’s book.

Jacob and Ryker I feel have the biggest divide in both the chosen jobs and financial aspects of their relationship.

Both have chosen to fields of employment that on the surface don’t mesh. Ryker is constantly travelling with the Raptors and Jacob is shackled in a way to the family farm. Being a farmer is what he wants, but it’s also a hard demanding life.

They also have the most notable financial divide between the couples, yes some of the others are on smaller salaries but they are entry level salaries and the option is there that they will get better pay once their contracts are re negotiated. Jacob comes from a poorer family that is still struggling with heavy debt and constant bills to pay to keep the farm running, it’s a never ending cycle that wears him down.

It’s great to see them both work hard at keeping the relationship going and going strong, making these differences a small issue. Ryker understands Jacob’s need to pay his own way and they work together to keep it moving forward.

I liked where this one lead the storyline. My heart broke for Jacob in one scene but once that was resolved I’m looking forward to seeing more of him in the next books. Can’t wait to see where the Raptors series leads.

A cute Christmas story which serves both as an epilogue to Jacob and Ryker's story and also as a great catch up with all the couples.
Jacob and Ryker were the couple that never truly got their HEA since both struggled with their long distance relationship and this Christmas tale strives to address that. Despite the season this story isn't all about the warm and fuzzies, farm work is hard and can be soul destroying and that is reflected in several heartbreaking scenes.
