All five starts because this book, I just couldn’t put it down. It had me sitting at the edge, and going to bed late. I just couldn’t put it down.

The book was good but I think the ending was a bit rushed. I felt like something else was needed in this book to make it 5 stars.

Writing style maybe?? Immediately disliked both fmc and mmc- story line felt a little thin without the background being more detailed... I love a fake/forced engagement but I did not enjoy these 2 interacting with each other. Icky.

i could probably read this entire book and find enjoyment in it, but i wasn't vibing with the writing style and the characters felt .... inconsistent. plus beck made me uncomfortable with how overtly sexual he was from the start.

It was just boring. There are a lot of really good reviews for this book but I think I'm spoiled by romantasy because these just don't do it for me. The guy was crazy to think that was a good plan instead of just reaching out to her and she was insane to think he wasn't planning this from the start. I'm personally not the biggest fan of manipulation and so become homicidal when I see it in books so I almost DNF'ed this thing but alas I was not going to be defeated.
