A very different and yet again a out of imagination related story. I really loved it. I was so hooked and I wondered how Melissa was going get what she wanted. It was reckless, dangerous and I loved it! I loved Alexander- So hot, intense, broken and yet so sweet and very deep. I really loved him. I loved everything about the story.

2 stars, not because the writing was bad, Jade West can write very well and her sex scenes are steamy. I just didn’t know the storyline would add a third wheel to the mix. I just prefer my h and H to have a happy ending without another person added to it… even if it’s just sexually. The H is bisexual and it’s explained in the storyline why he is the way he is but I still prefer a monogamous relationship.

Interesting Read

Let me start by saying there was something compelling about this book that made me read it to the end. I wasn't sure whether to love it or hate it at times.
I had issues with some of the things that happened in this book, such as how insane Melissa is in her behaviour towards her best friend and all the stalking of Alexander. The beginning was far too slow and the end felt rushed.
What Jade West does best is the steamy scenes and there are plenty of those, which I enjoyed.
Overall, I did enjoy this book to an extent, but the issues I had with it almost made me stop reading it several times.

This book is not for the faint heart. The story is heavy with BDSM plus choking sex. MM sex is also featured. There is some trigger too. Sexual assault and disturbing power play.

But i am not surprise. This is Miss West work after all. Funny that i like this book and not so much on Dirty Bad Wrong. In my opinion this is re telling story of modern Cinderella for adult.

I like the writing although i found it dragging in the middle. The story can be cut into half. I feel i do not need that much education of BDSM to enhance the story.

Nevertheless, i do enjoy reading this book.

To date, nothing I have read by Jade has disappointed me. However, I think that this particular novel was the first one that I simply did not accept the hero and heroines motives, character development, and actions/behaviors. That the heroine went to such lengths to get to the hero based solely on a five minute exchange in high-school was unbelievable. The OTT stalker behavior was completely out of line and explaining it as "because I love you" doesn't generate the sympathy and empathy needed to accept such behavior.

I know that this is a work of fiction, but Jade has been so good about delivering what initially seems like extreme fetish/deviant behavior and then peeling it away to see the very human and normal people behind the shock and awe. Unfortunately, nothing in this book allowed me to overlook the behavior and see the heroine as a "normal" relateable person.

Beyond that one bit, this was a great book! As always I purchase the books rather than just Kindle Unlimited since I know they will be re-reads and since I side load to get them on my Kindle to see the series number first, I want Jade to get paid.

Looking forward to the next ones....
