A creative story, by Tim Burton, about Jack Skellington or Pumpkin King, who grows tired of "Halloween Town" and eventually stumbles upon "Christmas Town". After that, he plans to replace Santa for a day and take over the holiday. The book features amazing artwork and has a captivating film adaptation directed by Henry Selick, which is worth a watch.

"Where we could gaze into the stars, and sit together, now and forever. For it is plain as anyone can see, we’re simply meant to be."

The art is better than the story. The movie is better.

I read the 20th anniversary edition. I love this movie so it was great to see the original artwork. Oddly enough Sally and Oogie aren't in this book, well, not really.
