(DNF) I really tried but I couldn’t finish this. Theirs a lot of promise with this book I just could not get through the stretched out dialogue and awkward fight scenes. I initially picked this up because the authors horror concepts,imagery, and world building really drew me in and it was great. However the characters don’t feel fully fleshed out, the dialogue feels rushed, and the fight scenes take me completely out of the horror element. I feel like this author can really nail down horror it’s just the characters need to be worked on a little more. I’m curious about future books and have hope to love their future books. But this one at the moment just feels like it was rushed.

Gave up when it turned into Catholic Yu-Gi-Oh! This had the potential to be something good and floundered it so spectacularly at every level. Do not waste your time on this.
