The short version: This book is the very definition of a bullet train. The clusterf*ck of events is nonstop. There's lots of running, trying to tear down the organizations, and just---chaos. I was surprised there was any time for spice in between. I mean, okay, maybe not super surprised, but still. However, the book did a really good job of wrapping up events even when things kept getting worse, and the ending was good.
The not-so-short version: This book had more complications and twists than I saw coming.
Did I want to slap Camilla for talking to a cop without a lawyer? YES. And did I expect the FBI contact to be Naomi's kid? NOPE. If stress was a form of currency, this book would've helped me retire.
And since you made it to the end, some important notes: first, reviews are highly subjective, including mine. My opinion is meant to give an overview of what I saw/felt when I read it (and how it may or may not have made my brain explode). What I see might not be what you see, and what I like (or don't) might not be what you enjoy, which is just fine. My advice to anyone looking into a book? Read the premise, and if it interests you enough, give it a chance and form your own opinion.

That includes the not-so-dead mom's reappearance, which this book addresses. Then there's Leo helping (of course, his motives are not altruistic), and then there's the Anton mess that had me stress-heaving. Camilla's whole escort ordeal was really just, ugh, I felt like going inside the book and dragging her out. It gave me flashbacks of La Femme Nikita, which was pretty cool, but in this situation, nope, too much stress.Did I want to slap Camilla for talking to a cop without a lawyer? YES. What a perfect ending to an amazing series!!! These book wrapped everything up into a nice neat bow!!! It was so good!!!! Can't wait to read more from lydia!!!! 5 stars yet again
