I bought this book fully knowing what I was getting into, and yet it still proves to be quite a ride. The issue highlighted in this book is a pretty realistic one, especially with how people are so quick to judge each other and nitpick others' behavior, but always find self-justification when it's them doing the exact same thing.
In that sense, the ending is absolute perfection. It's definitely not pleasant and a lot of people would find the entire book infuriating, but I love it.

This is... terrifyingly good. Such a spine-chilling book.
I was....... speechless.
It's been so long since I read Akiyoshi Rikako's book after I dnf-ed her "Silence" book last year. But after reading lots of romance this year, I started to miss reading a mystery so I pick this book in my pile to-read. and...... god idk if this was a good choice to read di malam Sabtu yang harusnya indah ini.
I don't even know if I love this book? Sure it's page-turning and I devoured it in one sitting. And it was no doubt that this book was exceptional. However, the entire time I read it, I felt so unsettled and distressed. It was daunting, unnerving and creepy.
Now, my worst nightmare isn't that kuntilanak I accidentally saw when I was young.
It is Noriko. Bcs I'll be damned if Noriko isn't wayyyyy more frightening than any ghost and demon and psycho and evil in this world.
I said what I said.
TW // murder, death, abortion, infertility, emotional manipulation, gaslighting.
