Sweet and funny with sorrow/melancholy. I haven't read any of her grimdark stuff and don't intend to, but I'll read anything else by her for sure.

This story is fun, witty and had me laughing out loud. If you've ever spent any kind of time on social media - especially Tumblr - you will totally relate to some of what Belleau touches on. I found Jonah's self-doubt and uncertainty endearing, especially when paired with his online confidence. That part of an online presence is a blessing & a curse - you can be yourself but there's always that ONE person who makes you feel you're not quite good enough. It's easy to hide those insecurities that moment when someone humiliates or degrades you, and after that it's picking up the pieces. I think Jonah does a pretty spectacular job of doing just that.

It was cute. Either it's a quirk of the author or I'm beginning to think that there are some major differences between US and Canadian Universities, because everything about school feels just a little bit wrong.

Cute short story. It is extremely Of Its Time and that time is teenagers on tumblr in 2014, which was a bit cringe-y for me, but it is cute.

Pretty cute short story.

Jonah was homeschooled after being bullied in school, but now he's on his own in college. It's hard, but then he meets his junior high crush in his philosophy class. Maybe he can use this second chance.

Jonah spends a lot of time on Tumblr where he has many followers because of his fashion posts. His Tumblr plays a big part in the story.

A nice, poor little rich boy sort of tale.

Poor neurotic Jonah, scarred by experiences at hugh school has few social skills with real people - but comes alive to his many Tumblr followers.
Seb was the boy who was kind to Jonah at that time - now they are in the same college class.

Jonah is a flaws person and I loved that Seb is such a well roundeerson, that he can tame Jonah into a date! Fun
