After reading Lamb to the Slaughter,  I won't ask my husband to “roast" dinner soon. Only Dahl could imagine such an absurd concept and morph it into a macabre, humorous crime story. Alfred Hitchcock fell in love with this dark, dreamlike story and adapted it into a film in 1958. 

Dahl digs deep into the protagonist's psyche with remarkable precision, resulting in a narrative that slowly gets you rooting for the criminal rather than the victim. And as for the crime weapon?
Well, the book's cover delivers the first and only clue. BTW: it's not a poisoned meal!

It was ok, but kind of boring. I had to read it for school. The title makes out like it's supposed to be really good, but in my opinion, it's a disappointment. Maybe I expected too much since I'm a Hannibal fan.
