Oh, I'm hooked. I'm very impressed with the twist/cliffhanger because I REALLY didn't see it coming. I can't wait to dive in more!

Went for the single issue #1 for a taste of what I was waiting for, and Holy Shit. The art is absolutely breathtaking, the writing instills a fierce sense of dread and discovery, and the plot so far is... wow.
Wow. Don't miss this.

The story here is very topical for today. Why are people susceptible to conspiracy theories? How do they benefit? What’s at the core of it? These are questions I’ve pondered with our current state of things (flat earthers, Covid vaccine microchips, Black people special powers activating on the 21st). It’s interesting to take this all a step further and question what happens when enough people believe.

But this art. This is pure chaos. I cannot process anything I’m looking at on the page. This style is certainly my least favorite. While it does add to the overall tone of the story, it was just a lot to process. Most of it I did not. I lose the nuances of character’s facial expressions, their surroundings. It just doesn’t work for me but it’s obviously well done. Kind of a watercolor feel?

Stay for the end though 😮
