A cute, interactive book that teaches the concept of reduce/reuse/recycle to littles. The collaged illustrations are made from reused papers, which will give young artists ideas on how they can incorporate reused papers and other items into their art- hooray for mixed media! The text shows different ways to help the Earth, such as gardening (this part is a good conversation starter to discuss bees and other pollinators), composting (the illustration showing the "finished" compost looks the same as when it started, with food bits in it, so discuss the actual finished compost with the kiddos), reusing paper to help save trees, and sorting trash into recycling bins or the compost bin. Throughout there are interactive prompts, such as pointing to the flowers for the bee to visit, to help keep the children's interest. The tone is bright and cheerful, and is a good early start for introducing taking care of the planet.

I received an eARC courtesy of HMH Books for Young Readers via Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.

A delightful introduction for young kids about conservation. They will love this interactive approach.
