*shudders* So edgy. So groundbreaking. I could seriously vomit.
I cannot believe I found the will to finish it quite frankly. This book is why I donāt trust a lot of the ratings on Goodreads. The writing was juvenile, the dialogue in particular was god awful, none of the characters had any chemistry and nothing made sense. I donāt think Iāve ever read something so unrealistic that it made me mad. The bad guys the āgangā were running from were supposed to be a big threat. Ronald made it look like it was the easiest thing in the world to do. An adversary means fuck all to a story if you can just run right through them. Thereās so tension or risk. Not impressed.

I struggled to get through this book. DNF after 106 pages. This manuscript? Rough draft? needed SO much editing, it was difficult to call it a complete book. The characters were boring and unrealistic. The dialogue was awkward. Maybe after a few rounds of editing, this could be a more exciting read.

Itās shit. Writing worse than my 11 year old niece. Muslim characters that are breaking their religion but actively going to the mosque? Donāt get me started on the misogyny. Which is fine and dandy in a horror novel if thereās a purpose. In this case there was NOT. Canāt forget to mention the rest of the bland characters and development. I was rooting for the zombies tbh.
