8/10. I liked this book just as much as the other two books, which is saying a lot because I tend to dislike the last books in trilogies. Just like the other two books, this one had me on my toes and I truly didn't know what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters and the variety of the POVs. I have to admit, though, that partway through the book there was significant gore and murder and I had to take a few weeks break from it. I think the ending was satisfying enough but I think there could have been a bit more epilogue to wrap everything up, especially given the ambiguous relationships between some of the characters and their futures.

It was decent. Not great, but okay.

What I liked:
- Finally some steaminess for the romances.
- Harper and Rhen finally addressing their utter lack of communication.

What I didn’t like:
- How anti-climactic the end battle was.
- The body horror.

This series has been so much fun to read and I’m so sad to reach the end. What started as a lovely retelling of a classic fairy tale evolved into a trilogy of captivating characters that I couldn’t get enough of. I will miss Emberfall, Syl Shallow, and these characters.

I really liked how the series wrapped up
but I think the story could have been ended a LOT better in terms of the last scene.

Hold my book while I scream please

Holy crap, a vow so bold and deadly was so incredible and what a way to end a trilogy!! I genuinely think I was holding my breath for more than one part of it.

I loved the parallels between the characters and between book 1 and this book - they genuinely made me feral! And the character development? PLEASE it was so good!!!

I was screaming, crying, throwing up while reading this, it was such an emotional rollercoaster and the fact that my least favourite troupe was introduced totally wiped over my head because it was just that good.

I think Lilith has to be one of my favourite villains too! Her cause and motive for being so truly evil even had me rooting for her at parts (don’t shout at me, I’m a sucker for a well written villain).

I will be recommending this series until I die PLEASE READ IT!
