I found this book to be very much fun. Was it the best suspense/thriller written by Lisa Scottoline? Not even close. Was it full of laughs and fun and love? Absolutely! So, don't take it too seriously, appreciate the 3 Tonys, believe in Allegra even when her character is unbelievable, do the same for Anthony (who really has the patience of a saint), and embrace El Virus and Bennie's mom and pop. It's enjoyable, so lighten up and enjoy it!!!

Rosato and Associates are back with Mary DiNunzio now as a partner! Seeing Bennie share her "power" and watching Mary assert herself more is intriguing to see. One thing that I enjoy about this series is seeing the characters grow. I will say here that this is technically NOT the first book in the Rosato series. The first book is [b:Everywhere That Mary Went|307644|Everywhere That Mary Went (Rosato & Associates, #1)|Lisa Scottoline|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1348776408i/307644._SY75_.jpg|916879] where we are introduced to Mary, Bennie and the gang. The series "spins-off" here as Mary is now a partner so it is called Rosato & DiNunzio.

In the "Accused" we have a 13 year old client, Allegra, hiring the gang to look into her sister's murder. Allegra's sister was murdered 6 years ago, and the accused Lonnie Stall was arrested and charged for the crime. Stall had even pleaded guilty. Allegra thinks there is more to the case and so she talks the law firm into helping her.

I really enjoy this series because of the characters. I have been reading this series since Judy's story and then went back to book 1 and binge read them. They are light fast read perfect for when you want more than fluff but nothing heavy.

*This review pertains to the audiobook.*

Decent story, but not that well written. The female lawyers of Rosato and DiNunzio act more like teenagers than professionals. The fact that the actual teenager in the story- Allegra- is a literal genius adds nothing to the story-line, as it is not exploited save her powers of obervation. The characters seem very two-dimensional, and ((SPOILER ALERT))

I didn't believe for a second that the naughty brother would come forward after 6 yrs, hang his head, and say, yeah, I was bad, put me in jail for 20 years. Also, it was flat-out stated that the car accident wasn't an accident, but that was never resolved.

I will not be reading this author again. Shame, because I like the concept. Just too juvenile (and I like YA fiction).

A quick thriller about a genius little sister who doesn’t feel the correct person is in crime for her big sister’s death. It was an easy read but if you read many thrillers it’ll be pretty obvious where it is going.

I believe this is the fourth book I've read by Lisa Scottoline, but I hadn't read any of her Rosato &
Associatives series. I loved these characters and the plot kept me guessing until the end. I will definitely look for more in this series.

Ms. Scottoline has penned another wonderful rosato and associates novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the twist and turns in this novel. There is a nice blend of mental health, youthful admiration, and personal conflict in this story. The characters are believable and personable. Great read.

I was looking for a junky and fast read, and this fit the bill perfectly. It was better than expected and an engaging story. I know just enough about mental health to know that the author did pretty well in describing issues and treatment of the girl, Allegra.

I was not completely satisfied with the ending/solving of the mystery. It didn't seem quite realistic. But, hey, this book was for pure fun. Also, the Italian friends of Mary's father were too much of caricatures, but otherwise pretty good.
