A quick, action-packed read, but the plot was a little cheesy and predictable. We have our standard evil villain that kidnaps supernaturals to harvest their blood for nefarious purposes, and our MCs' quest to rescue them and take down the group while running into trouble themselves.

I wish we had gotten more in depth character development on the FMC Shayla's fairy blood and how her abilities worked. It really seemed like a random mish-mash of powers that helped her find things - from the ability to walk in the realm of the ghosts to psychometry.

Still a decent book for those in the mood for a fated mate shifter romance.

I'm a fan of Stacey Brutger and was happy to find a book I'd somehow overlooked. The FMC is running from a stalker who is pretty much dismantling her life so she jumps at the chance of working in Scotland for s short while. There she finds our MC, and her troubles get crazier. I really enjoyed this part and the mystery with Lassie.
Overall I liked it well enough but the FMC needed more fleshing out, she's supposed to be fairly intelligent but acts like a right nincompoop most of the time putting herself in peril several times. I quite frankly wanted to slap her to wake her up.
I did like the ending and if Stacey wrote further stories, involving her family and the other wolves, I'd definitely pick them up.

Coveted begins when Shayla is running from someone, and ends up finding Aiden. She helps to rescue him, but she wasn't expecting for him to be what he was, and to find out a lot more about things she didn't know existed. Aiden on the other hand isn't sure he can trust her, and he also isn't sure of what he is feeling either. These two must figure things out before it is too late.

This book was really not for me. I didn't connect with the characters at all. And I really hated how they never really talked to each other about anything. If they did a lot of the drama would have been over and done with, and they would have been stronger together. Other than that, the story was okay, but I just didn't like this one.
