Gostei muito de como abordaram as pautas raciais das mais diversas representatividades, as questões de confiança, de corpos, de vulnerabilidades psicológicas e sociais...

This was enjoyable to read. I thought it was interesting to start the book with the two mcs meeting and I wish they communicated better (major are we dating or are we not dating back miscommunication that felt really stupid) but their relationship was cute.  overall this is just a basic fake dating romance so no complaints from me

6/10. This book is not what I expected. I wanted a steamy adult romance with a splash of fake dating. I got a Wattpad-esque fade-to-black romance with two thirty-ish-year-olds who act incredibly immature and insecure. The entire basis of their relationship is their attraction to each other and "feeling comfortable" together. There were many sex scenes but they weren't explicit which I feel really took away from the story considering one of the only things they did together was have sex. Also, it was really offputting for me that the book never once mentioned Drew's family or touched on Alexa's parents. And the book kind of praised Drew for not being racist or sexist or that he "protected" Alexa from these things but that is literally the bare minimum. Drew is one of the most plain love interests/protagonists that I've ever read about and his relationship hangup did not make any sense. The book posited Drew's inability to commit to stem from his past relationship with Molly and that he broke up with her and she was upset with him which made him feel bad so he didn't want to go through that again but it never actually gave a reason as to WHY he broke up with her in the first place. It just kept saying he "broke the heart of the nicest person ever" without ever explaining why. I didn't hate it but I didn't like it; it was mostly just bland.

It’s a sweet book, but didn’t hit me quite in the feels. The main character had a decent amount of internalized fatphobia, but the supporting characters never said anything negative about her size (except for one character early on in the book). Overall, I enjoyed reading it.
