I thought that the dynamics of the different personalities were fun to read and also how they navigated their differences and acknowledged their similarities. I liked the pace of the book and thought that it was perfect not too slow and not too fast

These characters and their inner dialogue were incredibly annoying.

Gostei muito de como abordaram as pautas raciais das mais diversas representatividades, as questões de confiança, de corpos, de vulnerabilidades psicológicas e sociais...

Adorable. I wish it was a smidge spicier but there’s truly nothing to complain about here. I love that this has all the trappings of a good rom com without the standard tropes, it sorta starts with a fake dating trope but it’s immediately tossed out the window, these people know what they want! The instant gratification is a pleasant change from the norm. Very cute!

This was enjoyable to read. I thought it was interesting to start the book with the two mcs meeting and I wish they communicated better (major are we dating or are we not dating back miscommunication that felt really stupid) but their relationship was cute.  overall this is just a basic fake dating romance so no complaints from me

1.5 rounded up - dnf'd at 35%.

Alexa is a beautiful, skilled lawyer and Drew is a beautiful pediatrician. A meet-cute in a stopped elevator leads to Drew begging Alexa to be his wedding date for the weekend, so he doesn't have to deal with the singles there. Now that I'm 1/3 of the way through the book, that part is over and we've moved into a weird little mating dance that has me rolling my eyes every few minutes.

The Wedding Date is dual POV, which is fine, except their povs are exactly the same - "I want them, but I bet they don't want me." It's a, frankly, bananas vibe, bc they're having sex like rabbits and it's been all of a day. They're both fully grown adults with massively important jobs, but somehow can't be bothered to tell each other how they feel and actually communicate with one another? Please give me a break.
