Reading this after seeing the third season is interesting. I feel like I knew show Penelope much more than I know book Penelope. Whereas I felt that I knew book Colin much more than show Colin.
That being said, being inside Colin’s head was so helpful because it didn’t feel like he was getting mad without reason. But I didn’t feel as connected to Penelope.
And the pacing seemed much slower in this one and maybe it was due to the nature of their romance compared to the previous books.

Of all the books so far this one certainly took me the longest to read. While I love Colin and Penelope their story is just much slower. I mean their love story is years in the making but it was not as wild and exciting as those of the Bridgertons who have come before them. I will say though, these Bridgerton men and their tempers I could do without but I understand some of the frustration. Either way, it was a pleasant story with a happy ending and for that I can't be mad. Now off to ready the next one
