f_r_e_d's review against another edition
3.5
I have SO MANY mixed opinions about this book. I’m going to try to make them make as much sense as I can.
I liked Caymen’s attitude (and by attitude I mean sense of humor) She was a spunky character that I liked. One thing I didn’t like-she was kind of whiny and felt very victimized. That may be just me.
Although it only lasts for a while, the whole “he has a girlfriend” bit really bothered me. I hate it when we have to go though the back and forth and when they won’t communicate. It really bothers me, and makes the characters feel really shallow.
Xander was cute. He was a really cool considerate guy. I love how he took responsibility for his actions. (At least he communicates)
All the same, there was something just off about this story. It wasn’t that it was shallow or that the plot didn’t make sense, it just wasn’t quite right.
Other than that it was okay. I wouldn’t read it again, but I’m glad I read it once.
