3.75⭐️ I was obsessed with the first book of the series, but this one was not as good. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot, but there were some aspects I just didn't vibe with. First of all, I love me some action, but this book was 450 pages of straight action. There was never a break from one battle to the next. It took me awhile to read this book, and I think it was mostly because the pacing was crazy. I just felt kind of overwhelmed at times and needed to take a break because of everything that was going on. Now, I do really REALLY enjoy these characters. I love the male MC and he is in my top 5 book boyfriends of all time. The plot twist at the end of the book was insane. So, overall, I did like this, but it did not come close to book 1 (my 5/5 star rating). I will be picking up the last book of the trilogy soon.

Got bored around 60%...as other reviewers have mentioned this book is heavy on trials/combat. I got tired of fight after fight after fight. I stopped reading & started another book (which I rarely ever do) & then cam back to this book & forced myself to skim read the last 40% to get it over with.

I read the first of this series and really enjoyed it. However, this book wasn’t keeping my interest. I just can’t get it.

This book picks up right where the last one left off; lots of thrilling action. Cat is still extra.

I really enjoyed most of this book but
there's nothing I hate more than a surprise pregnancy. Also Griffin being like yeah I knew but wasn't going to stay anything yet felt deeply weird.

Like the other books in this series I couldn't put it down. The author is extremely talented in how she transports you to a complete other world and you feel like you are right there to witness everything! It is a beautiful and heroic story you witness love and action and heartbreak, easy to read and follow while still craving more!
